Lapse of Reason is the musical project of Pablo Bozzi, a Berlin-based French producer, live artist and DJ. Immersed in music from his earliest age, through his parents both being musicians, he joined the National Conservatory of Toulouse at the age of 6 and practiced the harpsichord until he was 16 years old. After discovering electronic music, he left the Conservatory and began to acquire his first synthesizers and drum machines, which he has not stopped using since.

Under the Lapse of Reason alias, Bozzi drives you into his universe by mixing his different influences, from EBM to Techno, through New Wave, Italo Disco, New Beat and Industrial, forming a hybrid strain of powerful, mutant body techno. His live performances are characterised by intense drum patterns, live vocals and heavy rhythmic groove. Through his DJ sets, he explores the many genres that have come to shape his own distinctive sound. Aside from his work as a solo artist, Bozzi is also one half of EBM-Industrial outfit, Imperial Black Unit, created with his friend Templer, which debuted in 2017 with the release of “State Of Pressure” EP on Berlin-based, aufnahme + wiedergabe.

Releases under Lapse of Reason have been marked and measured, first making a debut with ‘Taking The Outer Valley’ on Lyon-based, La Chinerie in 2017. In 2018, he made an appearance on London-based, Khemia Records, with ‘Go Away’ – a single track drenched in EBM romanticism realised through a post-modern lens. Further original material will emerge in 2020, alongside the beginning of his live stream residency with HÖR, Berlin where he will host friends and artists he supports and admires.
